Lake City String Academy - Violin Intensive

A Peak Experience for Advanced Violinists

The Lake City String Academy is an intensive one-week violin course designed to provide college students an environment to improve their craft under the guidance of Texas Tech University Violin Professor Annie Chalex Boyle. Located in magnificent Lake City, CO, participants will have the opportunity to have daily private lessons and master classes. Natasha Sukhina, collaborative pianist, will also be coaching duo repertoire throughout the course, and theorist and composer John K Boyle, Jr. will offer a historical and compositional perspective for each violin student’s chosen repertoire. Career discussions, community outreach, and faculty concerts will also be included.

The goal of the Lake City String Academy is to provide a high level opportunity for individual growth in a beautiful location at a reasonable cost for violinists aged 18 and up. At the end of the week, students will perform a solo concert at the Mary Stigall Theater at the Moseley Arts Center.
